Meet Hajime Shinichi, a massive cinephile and president of the movie research club at his junior high school. The pages of his life are suddenly rewritten when the ghost of a young screenwriter named Takihiko Tenmaku possesses his body. It seems Tenmaku’s soul cannot rest until his final script is put to paper and presented on the big screen, and he’s chosen Hajime to make his wish come true!

Yuto Tsukuda won the 34th Jump Juniketsu Newcomers’ Manga Award for his one-shot “Kiba ni Naru.” He made his Weekly Shonen Jump debut in 2010 with the series Shonen Shikku. His follow-up series, Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, was his first English-language release. Tenmaku Cinema began serialization in the April 2023 issue of Shonen Jump.

Shun Saeki made his Jump NEXT! debut in 2011 with the one-shot story “Kimi to Watashi no Renai Soudan.” Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma was his first Shonen Jump series. Tenmaku Cinema was serialized in Shonen Jump in 2023.

Model student and movie nerd Hajime Shinichi’s life is upended when the ghost of 18-year-old screenwriter Takihiko Tenmaku possesses his body. Struck by inspiration, Tenmaku churns out a script—borrowing Hajime’s body, of course—and tries to talk Hajime into directing and producing a short film out of it! The thing is, Hajime loves to watch movies, but the thought of making one of his own has never even crossed his mind. Will he really be able to bring Tenmaku’s screenplay to life?
