Dimension of Chaos adds seventeen “D/D” and “D/D/D” monsters and “Dark Contract” cards!
For a month now, you’ve been seeing cards that refer to “D/D” and “D/D/D” monsters and “Dark Contract” cards, but there haven’t really been any aside from those cards and D/D/D Dragon King Pendragon from the Dark Legion Structure Deck. All that’s about to change when Dimension of Chaos launches on November 6 with seventeen cards for this mega-theme!
The D/D theme can make use of every Summoning method that makes use of your Extra Deck. It has Pendulum Monsters, Fusion Monsters, Xyz Monsters, and Synchro Monsters. To make sure that you’ll be able to get the cards you need when you need them, use Dark Contract with the Gate to add a “D/D” monster from your Deck to your hand every turn. “Dark Contract” cards deal damage to you every Standby Phase, but you can avoid it by using Contract Laundering to destroy all your “Dark Contract” cards, draw one card to replace each of them and gain 1000 LP for each of them as well!
The standout “D/D/D” monster from Dimension of Chaos is D/D/D Duo-Dawn King Kali Yuga, a Rank 8 Xyz Monster you Summon with any two Level 8 “D/D” monsters as Xyz Material. For the rest of the turn after you Xyz Summon him, the effects of all other cards on the field are negated, and other cards and their effects can't be activated on the field either. Kali Yuga can take advantage of this by detaching an Xyz Material to destroy all Spell/Trap Cards on the field, freeing you from your Dark Contracts while wiping out your opponent’s defenses! If you really need a particular Contract, you can even detach another Material from Kali Yuga to retrieve it from your Graveyard.
The easiest way to Summon D/D/D/ Duo-Dawn King Kali Yuga is to use your Dark Contracts to add as many copies of D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok to your hand as possible, then Pendulum Summon them all with D/D Savant Kepler and D/D Savant Galilei as the cards in your Pendulum Zone. These two Pendulum Monsters also help you build up your hand by letting you search out and re-use your other “D/D” and “Dark Contract” cards. D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok can even soften up your opponent’s defenses by Tributing another “D/D” monster to banish an opposing monster!
Dimension of Chaos is your first chance to really build a “D/D” Deck, and it all starts on November 6! Sneak Peek events happening in select Official Tournament Stores October 31 and/or November 1st!
