Cover
art by Shun Saeki
I felt like I was going to flip when I saw this cover! Then get all golden brown and flip again! This could be the first spatula on the cover of Weekly Shonen Jump ever! And a nice spatula it is, because Shun Saeki is an amazing artist. The art in Food Wars! impresses me every week and is some of the best in the business.
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma

Man, this manga makes me hungry! And I don't even like seafood! But whenever I see an amazing drawing of a delicious looking dish, my mouth starts to water. Nobody, but nobody, can draw food as well as manga artists, especially Shun Saeki. And this chapter serves up some seafood that's drawn so well you can practically smell it!

Seriously, Toriko has some of my favorite training sequences in all of SJ manga. They're just so far out. And this one may be the strangest yet! Which is saying something!

And now that the ante has been upped, it's time to start planning and getting ready for the next round. Some teams will win and some will lose, but most likely, some of them will sing the blues, or something along those lines.
Bleach

The battle between Yhwach and Hyosube continues! This has been one crazy battle. Just when it looks like one guy's got the upper hand, the tables get turned. And then again! I guess when two of the strongest characters in the entire series battle, it's going to be a knock-down drag-out fight!

Naruto
by Masashi Kishimoto
Sasuke versus Kakashi! This is a great fight and one that shows how much more powerful Sasuke was from the very beginning. At this point, Kakashi is still miles ahead of him. It's fun to look back and see the difference between them, knowing how the balance of power ends up. This JUMP BACK has taught me how much fun it is re-reading the beginning of long-running series. Looking forward to the next one, whatever it is!
