Once a year San Diego enthusiast and SJ Editor Urian Brown takes a look a this week's issue.
Cover
art by Eiichiro Oda
What's going on with this cover? It's to celebrate the newest One Piece movie in Japan. That's why you probably didn't recognize the girl on the right side. I haven't seen the movie, but I'm getting strange Goldfinger vibes from the cover. Man, an anime version of Goldfinger starring all the One Piece characters would be amazing! C'mon, Japan! Make my weird dream come true!
One Piece
by Eiichiro Oda
One of the most amazing things about One Piece after 700+ chapters is that Oda Sensei doesn't seem to be anywhere near out of ideas. He just keeps coming up with crazy new characters, worlds, powers and stuff. I don't think people understand how hard it is to create a story, let alone one that goes for nearly 20 years and still feels fresh. It's astonishing, really. And the latest chapter has the Straw Hat crew in one of the kookiest places of all! I think Lewis Carroll fans are gonna get a kick out of this arc!
Nisekoi
by Naoshi Komi
This is it! After many years of key-and-locket antics, it's finally opened and we learn what is inside! This is the chosen girl he made a promise to all those years ago! Find out who it is and what Raku does!
Bleach

The battle with Yhwach continues! And Ichigo gets some much-needed backup in his fight against a guy who is possibly the strongest being in the universe! Guess who makes a surprise appearance and jumps in the battle! Hint: It's not Kon! (Although, I wish it was!)
My Hero Academia
by Kohei Horikoshi
Who would think that looking into characters' rooms would be so much fun? I guess that goes to show you Horikoshi Sensei's prowess as a mangaka because he can take something as pedestrian as looking in someone's room and make it hilarious. And informative, as we learn a little more about each of the characters in the process. And now, it's time to check out the girls' rooms! And one of our heroes is very, very excited!
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma

Toriko
by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro
Another astounding chapter of Toriko! There's so much action and insanity packed into these few pages, it defies the imagination! I don't even know how to describe it, it's so fantastic! Prepare yourself to enter a world of food-based combat madness! The craziness continues!
One-Punch Man

The big martial arts tournament is in full swing. The weaker contestants are being weeded out and the stronger ones are rising to the top. Meanwhile, someone's finally noticed there are monsters attacking the city around them and takes action. Genos, to the rescue!
