This new JUMP START is really making a splash! It's a competitive swimming manga with a character that's bursting with determination, but short on skills. And he's only got one summer to get into shape or he's all washed up! It's sink or swim! Literally!
Best Blue
by Masahiro Hirakata
Yay! A sports manga! We've been lacking in that department since Cross Manage ended. Takumi Aono really wants to be a competitive swimmer! Like, really, really, really wants to be one. Although he swims everyday, rain or shine, he's still not there yet. But when he meets a very bitter lifeguard, something unexpected happens!
One Piece
by Eiichiro Oda
What an incredible chapter of One Piece! As fun and exciting as the main battle is, it's kind of more fun for me to see how everyone reacts after it's all over. And you wont believe the amount of characters who chime in the earth-shaking events of this fight. The legend of Luffy and his Straw Hats continues to grow!
Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma
story by Yuto Tsukuda, art by Shun Saeki, Contributor Yuki Morisaki
Soma is totally bombing the Moon Festival. He's completely in the red and risks getting expelled from the prestigious school. While his Black Pepper Buns are totally delicious, they're just not strong enough to compete with Kuga's delicious Mapo Tofu! Does he have a plan? Time is running out, so he better get his buns moving!
Toriko
by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro
So far, Blue Grill has been a food lovers paradise. Tons of amazing chefs and food preparation that's unlike anything Toriko and the others have seen. Everybody's been having a wondrous time enjoying everything this giant clam shell world has to offer. But...it also has a dark side. Find out why no one goes out at night in Blue Grill!
Black Clover
by Yûki Tabata
The battle with Mars is finally over, but now the entire dungeon is collapsing! Asta's been seriously injured, and everyone else is dangerously low on magic! Does it all end in a giant pile of rubble?! Find out!
Bleach
by Tite Kubo
It's been an unexpectedly touching flashback between Bazz-B and Haschwalth. They've had their differences in the past, and Bazz-B is definitely carrying a very heavy chip on his shoulder, but now it's all coming out. See who wins in this emotionally-charged battle between very old friends!
My Hero Academia
by Kohei Horikoshi
So far Midoriya's internship has been training and sparring, but now it's time to take it to the streets for some actual superhero patrols! And while's he's out on the streets, the villains prepare to make their next move and start causing chaos all over town. Looks like the heroes may be needed sooner than later!
Dragon Ball
by Akira Toriyama
It's the second chapter of the Dragon Ball flashback! And it's a doozy! What happens in this chapter sets up a joke later that is one of the reasons I fell in love with this manga. Fresh off of Dr. Slump, Toriyama Sensei was really pouring the humor on pretty thick in the early parts of the DB story. While it eventually becomes a full-on fighting manga, the early days is a non-stop crack up. If I was a little kid and I read this, I'd laugh my head off. I still laugh now, but my head doesn't actually come off anymore. I guess what I'm trying to say is--love Dragon Ball!
Extras: Beast-Eyes Pendulum Dragon promo card announcement, One-Punch Man anime announcement, Toriyama Sensei Bundles, Author Notes, Nihongo Lesson.
