Those of you who are Kyousuke Motomi fans (Dengeki Daisy, Beast Master, QQ Sweeper) will be happy to know that we are publishing her latest work Queen’s Quality! Volume 1 comes out on 9/5, and it continues the story of Sweepers Kyutaro and Fumi—whom we met in the three-volume series QQ Sweeper!

In Queen’s Quality, we get to find out more about Fumi’s past and what exactly it means for her to be a “queen”—someone who has the power to bend others to her will. Fumi doesn’t remember her past, and she basically doesn’t have a conscious presence when she’s in “queen” mode.

The only person that can get through to her during these times is Kyutaro.

Fumi’s training hard as a Sweeper in part to get her powers under control, and Kyutaro is with her every step of the way! After all, a Sweeper must train to keep a calm heart while battling bugs, which form from evil intentions.

A part of training includes building trust, and in chapter 3 (one of my favorite stories about Kyutaro and Fumi ever!), they go shopping together!

Yes, Kyutaro is horrified because he hates dealing with people (introverted shy boy that he is), but the idea behind this “assignment” is so that he and Fumi can build a better rapport together through communication and cooperation.

I love how they support each other! They have a dark and difficult journey ahead of them, but I really think they’ll be more than okay as long as they keep looking out for each other and helping each other out.
