The lazy days of summer have come to an end, and it’s back to “the slammer” for most students. The end of sleeping in! The end of all-day video game sessions! The end of watching daytime TV! But what if your school was actually more fun than your vacation? Here’s a look at six SJ schools you’d love to go back to!

The Ninja Academy – Naruto

Could there be a cooler name for a school?! And not only does the Ninja Academy teach you cool things like Ninjutsu (the ninja art of battle), Genjutsu (the art of illusions), and Taijutsu (the art of hand-to-hand combat), you also get to go on deadly missions and fight other students! Plus, they have super-intense tests designed to see how well you can use your ninja skills to cheat!

Magic Law Academy – Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation

Sure there’s been stories about young wizards who went to a magical school, but was it Magical Law School? In order to practice magical law and send terrifying demons back to where they belong, you have to go to school! But it’s not easy! You’ll have to pass tempering, spectral vision, artifact technique, medium aptitude, and brush writing/practical skills. Oh, and you have to pass a series of rigorous physical tests! And like the Ninja Academy, you get to go on deadly missions!

Yokai Academy – Rosairo + Vampire

You may think some of your classmates and teachers are monsters, but the attendees of Yokai Academy really are! Luckily for Tsukune, a human who was sent there by mistake, each monster student must disguise himself or herself as a human. Unluckily for him, a very powerful and cute vampire named Moka has fallen for him, turning the male and female monster student body against him! Imagine how exciting your school would be if you didn’t know if the girl sitting next to you was a witch, a succubus, or worse!

Duel Academy – Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

Winning Duels at school in real life might get you some cred among your school’s Duelists, but winning Duels at Duel Academy will make you the most popular student! In fact, Dueling has its privileges here, as the more Duels you win, the higher the rank you can achieve. From the stars of the school, the Ra Yellows, to the lowly bottom feeders, the Slifer Reds, everyone here has one thing on their mind—winning!

True Cross Academy - Blue Exorcist

Few schools in America come close to matching the grandeur and size of True Cross Academy—a massive school dedicated to training Exorcists to fight Satan and his legions of evil! There you can train as one of five types of Exorcists: Knight, Dragoon, Tamer, Aria, and Doctor. And not only is the curriculum demanding, it can also dangerous as students are called upon to fight real demons as part of their education! This is one place where not doing your homework could cost your life, or worse, your soul!

Impel Down – One Piece

Haha! Doesn’t school feel like a prison?! Hall monitors watching your every move like prison guards? Principals act like wardens and bust your onions when you step out of line. Impel Down is even worse! It's an underwater prison surrounded by giant sea monsters that will eat you if you try to escape. It has five separate levels of increasingly horrific torture. Terrifyingly powerful creatures roam about keeping prisoners in line. The warden's body is full of toxic poisons, which can kill with just a touch. Still, I bet many of you would rather go here than your own school! 

While you can’t actually go to these schools, you can read about them in the manga! And if you’re really bummed about having to go back to school, think about this—when you grow up, there is no summer vacation!!! You have to work all year round! It’s really terrible!!!
