art by Kazuki Takahashi
It's a special bonus issue! Merry whatever holiday you celebrate, or don't celebrate! This bonus issue will not count as one of your issues for your subscription, it's just to give you fun to read while Japan's SJ has the week off. Have some Yu-Gi-Oh! and Kenshin on us!
Yu-Gi-Oh! Transcend Game
by Kazuki Takahashi
Man, it is great to see Takahashi Sensei's art again. I am absolutely in love with his style. Strong lines, extreme angles, incredible monster designs and dynamic panel layouts. All that with a wonderfully cartoony style makes his work stand out in a very crowded industry. This story takes place after the original series ended and features everyone's favorite bad boy, Kaiba! Find out what his new obsession is and how it will affect the dueling world!
Rurouni Kenshin Side Story: The Ex-Con Ashitaro
by Nobuhiro Watsuki, story consultant: Kaworu Kurosaki
It's also great to see Watsuki Sensei's work again! Although, it hasn't been quite as long as we ran the Rurouni Kenshin: Restoration manga in the magazine a few years back. And it was an amazing retelling of the story from a different perspective. But now we have something totally new! This manga focuses on two completely new characters that are trying to survive, and find something to eat, in the tumultuous Meiji Era!
