Reptilian fashion model and SJ Editor Urian Brown takes a look at this week's issue.

The One Piece pre-twentieth anniversary celebrations continue with this adorable cover of the characters from other series dressed up like Straw Hats. Luffy and friends started their adventure way back in 1997. The Internet was just getting started. People weren't slaves to their phones, yet. And digital manga, like this great magazine, was years away. While many things have changed, one thing hasn't--this series is still as entertaining as ever!
One Piece
by Eiichiro Oda
Now this is an exciting chapter of manga! It's been kinda talky lately, but everything flies apart in this week. Stuff so good, I wouldn't dare spoil a single surprise! I will say this though, some characters that haven't had a chance to shine in awhile get the spotlight and it is dazzling!
One-Punch Man
story by ONE, art by Yusuke Murata
The martial arts tournament and monster mayhem continue! Both have been thoroughly entertaining, but somewhat mysterious. Well, the monster part. Why are monsters attacking the city? Who's behind it all? Is it a monster rise up? A rebellion? Find out the answers to these burning questions and more!
The Promised Neverland
story by Kaiu Shirai, art by Posuka Demizu
Saying there's another exciting plot twist in The Promised Neverland is like saying they'll be a day that ends in a "y" next week--it's obvious! But that's not a bad thing, the plot twists I mean, because it means the story is anything but predictable. And this week not only has a great twist but some heartfelt moments as well.
Black Clover
by Yûki Tabata
If there's one thing this manga isn't short on, it's action! In fact, it's got an abundance of cool magical battles! And this chapter takes it up a notch with an attack so big it defies the imagination! It may be the biggest magic attack yet!
My Hero Academia
by Kohei Horikoshi
Did you ever have one of those fights where you were also talking out your feelings? No? Then you haven't been in a Shonen Jump manga! This happens semi-regularly and is always fun to read. Why? Because you get to see a cool battle while watching characters you like work out their problems. The chapters pack a both a physical and emotional punch!
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma
story by Yuto Tsukuda, art by Shun Saeki, contributor Yuki Morisaki
Flashbacks are one of the common tools used in storytelling and it happens a lot in manga. It's a great way to show the motivations for characters and also give readers a deeper look into what shaped their personalities. Plus, sometimes you get to see older characters when they're young which is always a lot of fun. The flashback in this chapter is a doozy! Seeing Soma's dad and Dean Azami when they were Soma's age is a treat!
Ole Golazo
by Takamasa Moue
I'm gonna miss reading this manga every week! It's been one of the funniest JUMP STARTS we've ever had. And it stars one of the most memorable characters ever as well. Even when I'm an old man in the future reading manga on my holographic brain device, I'll still remember the word "Banba." And judging by this chapter, it looks like Banba is on his journey to becoming a soccer great. If you loved this manga or any other JUMP START, tell us by filling out the survey. It's right here!
RWBY
manga by Shirow Miwa, based on the Rooster Teeth series created by Monty Oum
Another chapter of RWBY with new characters and incredible action! We meet a new tough girl this week named Yang Xiao Long. She's doing a little detective work and goes looking for information in all the wrong places!
Extras: SJ Cover Contest announcement, Author Comments, Nihongo Lesson.
