0926 Wsj 1Cover
art by Naohito Miyoshi

This cover is fresh! To use an outdated slang word, if I may. Seriously, that is some great art. The linework, the colors, composition—everything about this cover is cool. It really "pops." To use a term I hear bandied about the office by marketing people, if I may. One of the best things about reading digital manga is seeing the color art backlit. It really makes it come to life in a way paper can not. Beautiful!

The Promised Neverland
story by Kaiu Shirai, art by Posuka Demizu

I've worked in the manga business a long time and I have read very few manga that has started this strong and maintained the same level this long. Not only is every chapter a page turner, they always seem to end on crazy cliffhangers that make you hungry for the next chapter. And this week's chapter continues this trend. So much mystery! So much tension! In other words—good stuff!

One Piece
by Eiichiro Oda

Oda Sensei is a master of coming up with super depressing backstories for characters. It's one of his many, many strong points. This week's chapter is especially sad considering how beloved the character is by fans. I don't want to spoil anything, but you may want to keep a box of tissue handy. And if you're a tough guy, get ready for some "dust in your eye."

Love Rush!
by Ryohei Yamamoto

It's official! Love Rush! has joined the Weekly Shonen Jump lineup! You can look forward to Reiji's supernatural girl problems each and every week! If you thought your love life was complicated, try fending off supernatural girls with issues!

RED SPRITE
by Tomohiro Yagi

It's official! RED SPRITE has joined the Weekly Shonen Jump lineup! There have been a lot of official things happening lately! Tatsu has his ship, his army and now all he needs is a lot of luck and...supplies? It's not easy leading a rebellion, especially against a ruthless dictator. But he's got electric-based powers, a cool airship and a lot of spunk. Will that be enough?

World Trigger
by Daisuke Ashihara

The Rank Wars are changing! Instead of squad based combat, it's one-on-one and free for alls. And the newest agent to tear through the ranks just might surprise you! Who could it be?!

Toriko
by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro

Major events in this chapter! Looks like the fight is about to go to the next level! Kind of hard to believe a fight like this can go up another level, but that's the power of manga! And one of Shimabukuro's amazing talents—just when you think it can't get any crazier, it's gets crazier. By a lot! More planet-destroying action coming your way!

My Hero Academia
by Kohei Horikoshi

The first elimination round of the Provisional Hero Licensing Exam has been one heckuva ruckus so far! Many have fallen, but none of the class 1-A U.A. students so far. But the fight's not over yet! It's winding down and the remaining students are getting desperate. Can U.A. continue its streak? Or will the rest of the class choke in the final moments? Find out!

Black Clover
by Yûki Tabata

In the last chapter, Yami had some serious doubts about the true identity of William, the leader of the Golden Dawn Knights. So he asked him to remove his fancy mask. Did he do it? Is he a traitor? A spy working for the other side? All that and more will be revealed in this chapter!

Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma
story by Yuto Tsukuda, art by Shun Saeki, contributor Yuki Morisaki

Some accuse manga of having sexist tropes that objectify women. A common example would be the numerous public bath scenes with frolicking women. Well, get ready to wear sexism on the other foot! Actually, that doesn't make any sense....uh...let me try again... Get ready for reverse objectification in this chapter as we get a very revealing public bath scene with the men! That's one of my favorite things about this manga—there is cheesecake for everyone! And that's not all that's revealed, we also get to see why Hayama joined Central!
