My Hero Academia is on the cover again! And although I've enjoyed seeing the JUMP STARTs on the covers the past few weeks, it's nice to see some old familiar faces again. Such a dramatic cover too! So much passion, determination, action! Makes you want to dive right in and experience the thrill of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine!

My Hero Academia
by Kohei Horikoshi

The first elimination round of the Provisional License Exam heats up! Because of U.A.'s prestigious reputation, the other students are targeting them for bragging rights. But they've been trained by the best and aren't going down without a fight. Plus, the strange girl making Deku very uncomfortable gets even weirder! What is the true nature of her bizarre Quirk?

My Hero Academia

Black Clover
by Yûki Tabata

The Diamond Kingdom is finding out the hard way that their intelligence about the Clover Kingdom being weak was wrong. Very wrong! The Golden Dawn Knights are putting up one heck of an impressive fight and spells of incredible magical power are being shot off in every direction. But the battle's not over yet!

The Promised Neverland
by Kaiu Shirai, art by Posuka Demizu

Another riveting chapter of the newest manga to join the Weekly Shonen Jump lineup! The kids' plan to escape the evil orphanage has hit a major snag as a new adult has come to watch over them. Whatever they do, Mom just seems to be one step ahead. But she hasn't killed them or shipped them off yet. Why? What's her real plan? I DON'T KNOW! But I do know it's going to be fun reading the manga and finding out!

Promised Neverland

RED SPRITE
by Tomohiro Yagi

It's the last JUMP START chapter of RED SPRITE! It's been one wild ride these last three chapters and this manga is off to a great start. Definitely not a slow burner as it started off with a raging fire! And talk about a fascinating world. The more I read, the more I want to know about this strange place where kids are used as human batteries. Also, the main character is feisty! Even feistier than the most of the regular SJ heroes. Hoping to see big things from this series!

Toriko
by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro

The final fighters are finally fighting! It seems like the big players are on the stage and ready to beat each other into oblivion! Prepare yourself for a peppering of powerful pugilists pounding each other into pancakes! In other words, more crazy fights coming your way!

Toriko

World Trigger
by Daisuke Ashihara

The Rank Wars continue! This battle has become one of my favorites so far. I mean, they're all pretty cool with the futuristic technology, strategy, running commentary from observers, and random surprises—but this one is full of trickery. Yes, trickery! So many great gotcha moments and impressive setups. I'm starting to respect Tamakoma-2 more every chapter!

Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma
story by Yuto Tsukuda, art by Shun Saeki, contributor Yuki Morisak

Wondering how Hayama ended up on the Council of Ten? The hilarious flashback in this week's chapter reveals all. And when I say "reveals all," I mean it! There are more buns in this chapter then a New York City hot dog cart! And despite having his own competition coming very soon, Soma takes a hike into the snow-covered mountains of Hokkaido! Will he find inspiration in all that natural beauty?

Food Wars

Boruto
creator/supervisor Masashi Kishimoto, art by Mikio Ikemoto, script Ukyo Kodachi

The Chunin Exam is rudely interrupted by some very strange and powerful new enemies! But what do they want? And why would they attack a place full of the strongest ninja in the land? Especially considering Naruto, one of the strongest ninja ever, is watching? Find out the answers to these burning questions and more!

Extras: Interview with Masashi Kishimoto and Yoshihiro Togashi, Masked Hero Blast promo card announcement, Author Comments, Nihongo Lesson.
