Very round stick figure and SJ Editor Urian Brown takes a look at this week's issue.
Cover
art by Tadatoshi Fujimaki
Robo-kun's on the cover! And he's looking totally...uh...robotic. He's staying true to his personality! I suppose a giant grin would look totally strange and out of character. Although, I'm hoping by the end of the manga we get to see a few big, happy smiles from him. In any case, we don't get a lot of covers with golfers on them, so enjoy!
Robot x Laserbeam
by Tadatoshi Fujimaki
Robo-kun's made a valiant effort, but he's wilting like a delicate flower on the hottest day of the year! It's the last hole and he's had it! The physical toll of 18 holes of golf is intense if you're not used to it. Add to that the hot sun and the pressure to succeed and you've got a recipe for disaster. Can he pull it together in time?
The Promised Neverland
story by Kaiu Shirai, art by Posuka Demizu
Just when it seemed like the kids caught a break and they were on their way to finding Minerva, a crazy guy pulled out a gun and grabbed Emma! They've survived many things, but usually with Emma leading the charge, not taken hostage with a gun to her head! No demons can save them now. What will they do?!
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
creator/supervisor Masashi Kishimoto, art by Mikio Ikemoto, script by Ukyo Kodachi
The world of Boruto just got a whole lot bigger! And by that, I mean the introduction of some very serious-looking blokes who seem to be up to no good. And they're wearing a lot of black and speaking of mysterious things! You know that that means--bad guys! Unless it's Sasuke, who also wears a lot of black and speaks of mysterious things. Anyway, just who are the dastardly foes and what evil plans are they setting in motion for the future? Find out!
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma
story by Yuto Tsukuda, art by Shun Saeki, contributor Yuki Morisaki
The upcoming battle between Momo and Megumi is going to be interesting because they're total opposites. Momo is bratty, cruel and calculating. Megumi is sweet, unsure of herself and naive. One's salt and the other sugar, vinegar and oil, hot sauce and syrup! You get the picture. But before we get to the fight, it's time to go back and see some of Megumi's training. Just how did a girl with such low self-confidence get this far?
My Hero Academia
by Kohei Horikoshi
This manga is on fire! All manga go through ups and downs, but right now My Hero Academia is up, waaaaay up! This recent battle between Mirio and Overhaul just keeps getting more intense, and this week's chapter takes it to a new level! Strap yourself in, folks!
Dr. Stone
story by Riichiro Inagaki, art by Boichi
In this chapter--somebody dies! It's a shocking death you'll have to read to believe! Well, you'll have to read it to find out who dies anyway, but still, there will be some jaws hitting the floor this week!
Black Clover
by Yûki Tabata
Asta takes on his old buddy, Magna! While these two are on the same brigade, that doesn't mean they're gonna hold back on each other in battle! In fact, that would be a big insult in the world of manliness and shonen manga. Has Magna come up with new tricks to take down Asta? Talk about the ultimate case of "friendly fire!"
We Never Learn
by Taishi Tsutsui
Not only has MHA been killing it lately, We Never Learn has also been killing it...or maybe more like kissing it! And the kissing capers continue in this chapter as Ogata does some more research into the mysterious world of lip locking!
One-Punch Man
story by ONE, art by Yusuke Murata
Saitama's shown up just in the nick of time to save the once proud martial artist, Suiryu! After being beaten to a pulp by the freshly made monsters from the Monster Association, Suiryu thought it was all over--but the Bald Cape has arrived to save the day! And now that Suiryu's seen what a real hero can do, he's doing some serious soul searching. Will he come up with the life-changing answers he's looking for?
