After leaving Punk Hazard, the Straw Hat pirates have pulled themselves ashore in the beautiful kingdom of Dressrosa! With their new ally Trafalgar Law, the Straw Hats plan to destroy Don Quixote Doflamingo's SMILE plant and look for the missing samurai Kanjuro. While Dressrosa is filled with beauty (and toys!) on the outside, there seems to be a lot of ugliness (and mystery!) inside.

Luffy learns that a tournament will be held in Corrida Coliseum, with Ace's Devil Fruit as the grand prize! Unfortunately, Luffy cannot enter as himself due to being a wanted pirate, but instead fights disguised under the name “Lucy”. “Lucy” is one of the hundreds of combatants in the tournament, with big guys, pretty boys and familiar faces. The one thing they all have in common is that they're all mad powerful and want to win the Flame-Flame fruit! Will “Lucy” win his late brother's Devil Fruit? I can't say, but this is the first time Oda Sensei's done a traditional tournament arc and there is a lot of madness and powerful foes to be expected once the tournament begins!

Meanwhile, Law's group heads towards Green Bit, and one of Zolo’s swords goes missing! Both eventually get to where they need to be, but they've encountered something that's straight out of a fairy tale. Back in the Thousand Sunny, a mysterious intruder has been invading the ship. Can Nami, Chopper, Momonosuke and Brook fight back? It may just be the start of their adventure in Dressrosa, but there's a lot to do there, and a lot to read in the coming volumes of One Piece!
