Calm yourself with this week's lesson!
Welcome to the Nihongo Lesson feature. We strive to give you useful manga-based Japanese language tips and maybe even a glimpse into the translation process. This week’s lesson will focus on the glorious return of World Trigger. It’s been a while since we’ve seen these characters battling it out in the Rank Wars with their triggers, but one thing sure hasn’t changed. Osamu’s as nervous as ever!
KINCHOU (きんちょう)
KINCHOU means “nervous.” The new member of Tamakoma-2, Hyuse, was asked if he was feeling KINCHOU in last week’s chapter. Hyuse, along with most of the team, looks ready for action. Yuma’s duck lips are that of an agent with absolute confidence. But what's this? Team captain Osamu is definitely worried about something!
FUAN (ふあん)
FUAN means “anxiety” or “feeling of uneasiness.” Unlike his teammates, Osamu seems to be feeling a lot of FUAN. But what’s got Osamu so worried? He’s such a reliable character that there must be something to this. Is more trouble on the way?
