Summer is almost over, but the Dueling action isn’t! In fact, things are only going to get more intense now that the 2016 Mega-Tins are here! Each tin features a stunning design depicting either Yugi or Kaiba, six guaranteed foil cards, and three 2016 Mega-Packs that serve as a highlight reel of some of the best cards from the 2015–16 Dueling season. The six foil cards are different in each Tin and each Tin includes a card that made a huge splash in tournaments this year!

Yugi’s Tin features six cards including his Egyptian God Card, Slifer the Sky Dragon, along with the most famous wizard of all, Dark Magician, and the most infamous wizard of all, Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer! When Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer hit the scene in Breakers of Shadow, Pendulum Summoning strategies moved from the fringe of competition to the forefront of tournaments overnight!

Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer does everything you could want a Pendulum Monster to do and then some. It can load up your Extra Deck or get rid of cards you can’t use while trading them for even more Pendulum Monsters. It’s got a Pendulum Scale of 2, nearly as low as you can go and certainly low enough to let you Pendulum Summon the cards you’re searching out with its first effect. And finally, it can even be used to give your monsters a huge ATK boost after you Pendulum Summon them! If you’re looking to try out a Pendulum Summoning strategy for the first time, a Performapal-based Deck with Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer is a great way to go.

Kaiba’s tin also has six cards, including Obelisk the Tormentor, Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the elusive Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit! The demand for Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit was massive when it first launched in Crossed Souls, and it continues to this day. It’s a card that does two different things—one that hinders your opponent and one that helps you out!

If Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit is in your hand or face-up on your side of the field, you can send it to the Graveyard to destroy any monster or face-up Spell/Trap Card that activates an effect. This won’t stop most monster effects, but most face-up Spell/Traps that have activated effects are Continuous Spell/Traps or Field Spells. Eliminating Continuous Spell/Traps and Field Spells ends their effects immediately and will prevent further effects that have yet to resolve from doing anything. And even though you won’t be able to block monster effects with this ability, the monster itself can’t attack you if it’s in the Graveyard!

Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit’s other feature is that it’s a Level 3 Tuner monster. Even if your opponent isn’t activating any monster effects on the field and isn’t using any Spell or Trap Cards you can destroy, you can still use Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to access your best Synchro Monsters!
