Soon after the holiday season aftermath gets cleared off from downtown retail fronts, early signs of spring have already arrived in the windows of GUCCI. Over seventy locations of the high-fashion apparel shop are displaying brilliant illustrations by Shonen Jump mangaka, Hirohiko Araki.
The campaign visuals for GUCCI’s spring fashion line feature Araki’s characters from his epic manga series JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure wearing GUCCI designer clothes, shoes, and bags that are found in their new arrival sections.
Araki created a special one-shot manga Jolyne, Fly High with GUCCI, starring the female protagonist Jolyne Cujoh from JoJo’s sixth story arc, Stone Ocean. The manga first appeared in the Feburary issue of Japanese women’s fashion magazines Spur (published by Shueisha). English versions are available on the official GUCCI Facebook.
