When we met Misaki, he was a foul-mouthed loner, but in this volume we understand more about why he puts up such an antagonist front. He is not only bullied at school for being small and cute, but he’s tormented at home by three older sisters who expect him to do their bidding without question. The poor guy gets crap from people everywhere he goes. It can even be argued that he’s had a harder time of it than Onise. And when Onise is hanging out with the guys in class, Misaki eats his lunch Nao and Yashiro.

Misaki is a hero. He is always honest and never gives in without a fight, even when he can’t win. Nothing shows this more than when he goes up against Yashiro’s cheating, college-aged boyfriend. He puts everything out there, regardless of how embarrassing it is for him.



I hope Misaki ends up with the girl he likes, but if so, he will be adding another girl to his life who loves to tease and torment him.
