Finally, some of the most requested and anticipated Cyber Angel cards are here!
Dragons of Legend - Unleashed - is here, and so are Alexis’ Cyber Angels from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime! These Ritual Monsters were some of the most requested and most powerful cards from GX that never made the leap to reality. They’re great whether you’re building a dedicated Cyber Angel Deck or mixing them with other powerful Ritual Monsters, especially LIGHT Ritual Monsters.
Cyber Angel Benten and Cyber Angel Idaten have different effects depending on if you Summon them or Tribute them. Benten deals damage equal to the original DEF of any monster she destroys and lets you add any Fairy-Type monster from your Deck to your hand if you Tribute her. Idaten adds any Ritual Spell from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand when you Summon her and buffs all your Ritual Monsters’ ATK and DEF by 1000 when you Tribute her. The basic combo with these cards is to Tribute Benten to Summon Idaten, use their effects to get the pieces of a second Ritual Summon, then Tribute Idaten and something else to Ritual Summon Cyber Angel Dakini and bump its ATK to 3700.
Cyber Angel Dakini forces your opponent to send one of their own monsters from the field to the Graveyard when you Summon her, makes all your Ritual Monsters inflict piercing battle damage and retrieves a Ritual Monster or Machine Angel Ritual from your Graveyard during the End Phase of each of your turns. Machine Angel Ritual is the Spell used for all of the Cyber Angel Ritual Monsters, so you can quickly assemble follow-up plays for your next turn with Dakini. The Ritual Spell can also be banished from your Graveyard to protect your LIGHT monsters from being destroyed once, kind of like Return of the Dragon Lords, so each Ritual Summon adds another layer of protection to all of your LIGHT monsters.
Benten and Idaten also work nicely with two other powerful LIGHT Ritual Monsters from the past: Herald of Perfection and Saffira, Queen of Dragons. Tribute Cyber Angel Benten to Dawn of the Herald and you can add Benten back to your hand AND search any Fairy-Type monster from your Deck to your hand, giving you two uses of Herald’s omni-negation ability instead of one. Anything you Tribute to Hymn of Light can be added back to your hand in the End Phase with Saffira, Queen of Dragons, or you can sift through your Deck or disrupt your opponent’s hand. Hymn of Light can also be banished to protect your Ritual Monsters from destruction, so you can quickly build an army of huge indestructible Ritual Monsters!
The Cyber Angels are here right now, available only in Dragons of Legend - Unleashed - !
