Every year, Duelists get a very early Christmas present with the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Collectible Tins. Every tin has five foil cards and five booster packs, and the foil cards are some rarest, most powerful, and most sought-after cards from the last year or two. And sometimes, you'll find a sneak preview of a card from an upcoming booster set!
This year, you can pick up Heroic Champion – Excalibur before its release in Return of the Duelist in its own Collectible Tin. It’s a very heavy hitter that can double its own Attack Points, and it also comes with four other cards that savvy Duelists already know a thing or two about!
Wind-Up Zenmaines is the headliner for the first round of Tins this year, appearing both in this tin and its companion (but more on that later). It’s a card that every Duelist worth their salt has wanted to own since November of last year. One of the best defensive cards ever printed, it can survive destruction up to twice and then return the favor by destroying an enemy card at the end of the turn.
Blizzard Princess is back just in time to play with the new Prophecy Spellcasters from Return of the Duelist. Tribute one Prophecy monster to Summon her, and your opponent’s Spells and Traps will be frozen for the rest of the turn! Afterwards, you can use Spellbook of Wisdom to give her further protection from enemy Spells and Traps.
Wind-Ups have been a huge Deck ever since Order of Chaos came out this past winter. But a lot of the Wind-Up strategy’s successes, including sending numerous Duelists to the World Championship in Japan, can be traced back to Wind-Up Rabbit! It’s one critter that’s tough to stop, hiding itself or any other "Wind-Up" monster from your opponent for a turn. Like Zenmaines, this was a really difficult card to get your hands on…until now!
And rounding things out is the incredibly fearsome Evolzar Laggia! Laggia can make your opponent’s most powerful card irrelevant by negating it’s Summon or activation. And instead of costing half of your Life Points, like Solemn Judgment, it has 2400 Attack Points instead! If you don’t own this card yet, you can rectify the situation by getting the Heroic Champion – Excalibur Collectible Tin on August 14, 2012!
