It’s a blast from the past (and future) with some brand new Synchro Monsters in Judgment of the Light! Get ready, cuz these bad boys are back in full force, raring to kick your Extra Decks into high gear!

Easy-To-Summon Level 3 and 11 Synchro Monsters!

Until now, there were no Level 3 or Level 11 Synchro Monsters that could be Synchro Summoned by combining just any Tuner with 1 or more non-Tuners. Three guesses what’s about to change!

Mist Bird Clausolas is a Level 3 Synchro Monster that can reduce a monster’s ATK to 0 and negate its effect until the end of the turn. Star Eater is a Level 11 Synchro Monster with 3200 ATK that’ll put your opponent in a real fix. Not only is its Synchro Summoning impossible to negate, it also becomes immune to card effects from the moment it declares an attack until the end of the Damage Step.

Building the Ranks

Recent sets have added tons of support to Fire Fist and Mecha Phantom Beast Decks. Now, Judgment of Light has given each theme a new Synchro Monster!

Mecha Phantom Beast Concoruda is a Level 7 Synchro Monster that protects all of your Tokens for as long as it stays on your Field. What’s more, even if one of your opponent’s cards does destroy Concoruda and send it to the Graveyard, you can Tribute all of the Tokens it protected to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Mecha Phantom Beast from your Graveyard. Since most Mecha Phantom Beast Decks hinge on Summoning lots of Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens, Concoruda is vital to both protecting and using them.

When you Summon Level 8 Synchro Monster Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Kirin, you may Set a Fire Formation Spell or Trap from your Deck. Fire Fist Decks typically rely Fire Formations to bolster their stats, so getting to choose and Set one is a pretty big deal. Furthermore, Kirin reduces the ATK of all of your opponent’s monsters by 100 for each face-up Spell or Trap Card on your field. Quick refresher: Fire Formation Spell and Trap Cards already boost the ATK of your Fire Fist monsters. Kirin takes that one step further by decreasing your opponents’ monsters ATK even as the Fire Formations are busy increasing your own monsters’ ATK. Your opponent will have a tough time bridging that gap while Kirin’s around!
