Legacy of the Valiant cools things down with Mobius, the Mega Monarch, heir to the throne of Mobius the Frost Monarch, one of the most popular and fondly remembered cards of all time!

The original Mobius the Frost Monarch is Level 6 and destroys up to two Spell or Trap Cards when Tribute Summoned. Mobius the Mega Monarch is Level 8 and destroys up to three Spell or Trap Cards when Tribute Summoned. But that’s not all! Usually you have to Tribute two monsters to Summon a Level 8 monster, but just like Granmarg the Mega Monarch, you can get by with one Tribute if you Tribute a Tribute Summoned monster, like a regular Monarch! Furthermore, if any or all of the Tributes for Mega Mobius are WATER, your opponent can’t activate any of the cards you’re going to destroy.

Keeping track of Tribute Summoned monsters can be complicated though, so Legacy of the Valiant also has an all-in-one solution for all your Mega Monarch Summoning needs! The First Monarch is a Trap Card that turns into a monster when you use it. When it’s Summoned, you can discard a card to change its Attribute. That’s really handy because it also counts as two Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a monster that shares the same Attribute! With The First Monarch, you can Special Summon the only Tribute you’ll need for Mobius the Mega Monarch, and Tribute Summon it, and get its bonus effect—all in one turn!
