In the Village Hidden in the Leaves there is a ninja who aspires for greatness. His name is Rock Lee! From the epic world Naruto comes the new Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals, based off of a manga by Kenji Taira. Rock Lee can’t use ninjutsu but that doesn’t stop him from becoming the star of his own show in chibi form.



The first episode of Rock Lee’s new spin off introduces chibi Lee and the zany situations he gets himself into. The episode starts with Lee and his teammates Tenten and Neji helping a little girl who is hounded by debt collectors. Later, Naruto and Lee face off in an epic battle over cake!



After seeing my favorite Naruto characters chibified, I couldn’t help but smile. They’re so cute. I especially loved the chibi versions of Naruto and Neji. Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals is mostly comedy, the story is not as complex and there’s not much action compared to the main Naruto series. Still I found the new series to be very enjoyable.
