Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions Movie Pack is full of brand-new cards used by Yugi and Kaiba in the upcoming feature film! While the movie won’t quite get here this year, the monsters will, starting with Kaiba’s Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!

Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon has the exact same stats as the regular Blue-Eyes White Dragon, but instead of Tribute Summoning it or sending it to the Graveyard and reviving it, you need to Special Summon it from your hand by revealing a regular Blue-Eyes White Dragon from your hand. That’s it, just show your opponent the original Blue-Eyes and you can Summon this new one. To get them both in your hand right away, try The Melody of Awakening Dragon. By discarding a card, you get to add two Dragon-Type monsters with 3000 or more ATK and 2500 or less DEF from your Deck to your hand, so you can add Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon and the Blue-Eyes White Dragon you need to Summon it at the same time!

Once it’s on the field, you can either attack like normal with Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon or use its special ability to automatically destroy any monster on the field. If you activate that effect, your Dragon won’t be able to attack that turn. Fortunately, none of your other Blue-Eyes monsters will be hit with that restriction, so you can Synchro Summon Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon and play as normal, and if you revive Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon afterward with Return of the Dragon Lords, the freshly Summoned Dragon CAN attack, making it very easy to clear out monsters and rack up damage.

Because Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon can only destroy monsters with its special ability, you’ll want to back it up with Dragon Spirit of White from Shining Victories. When Dragon Spirit of White is Normal or Special Summoned, you get to banish one of your opponent’s Spell/Trap Cards from the field, making it the perfect monster to soften up your opponent’s defenses before you bust down the door to their Life Points with Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon. The pair of Level 8 monsters can even be used to ramp up your Xyz Summoning ability, starting with Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon or Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon and ramping up into the 4000 ATK Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon to destroy even more cards or Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon to load up your Graveyard with more Dragons!

The possibilities for a Blue-Eyes White Dragon Deck keep getting better and better, and you’ll be able to add Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon and even more great cards to your Deck when Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions Movie Pack drops on July 22nd!
