Duelist Alliance has a brand new monster theme for each generation of Extra Deck monsters—Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters. Last week we looked at the Xyz Summoning 'tellarknights. This week we’ll introduce the mystical Yang Zing, masters of Synchro Summoning.

Each of the four basic Yang Zing monsters shares the ability to let you Synchro Summon during your opponent’s turn during either the Main or Battle Phase, as long as all your Synchro Material Monsters are Yang Zing monsters. But there’s more! Each of the four basic Yang Zing monsters, when used as Synchro Materials, also gives their Synchro Monster a special ability!

Pulao, Wind of the Yang Zing makes your Synchro Monster immune to Spells.
Bixi, Water of the Yang Zing makes your Synchro Monster immune to Traps.
Bi’an, Earth of the Yang Zing makes your Synchro Monster immune to destruction in battle.
Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing gives your Synchro Monster +500 ATK and DEF. 

All four are great abilities, but what really makes the Yang Zing monsters special is their ability to effortlessly Summon each other from the Deck in any combination you like. Whenever a Yang Zing monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Summon a different one from your Deck, making it easy to get the combination of abilities and the needed Levels for whatever Synchro Summon you want!

Of course, you can’t Synchro Summon without a Tuner, and Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing is just the Tuner you’re looking for! It’s Level 1, so it’s easy to combine with all of your other Yang Zing monsters. Plus, it can be Special Summoned back from your Graveyard when another Yang Zing monster is destroyed to easily put a Tuner and a non-Tuner on the field at the same time. And if you need even more monsters to make bigger Synchro Summons, try out the new Continuous Trap Yang Zing Creation!

Yang Zing Creation lets you Special Summon any Yang Zing monster from your Deck if any of your monsters are destroyed. Creation can stack up with all of your other Yang Zing effects, so when one monster is destroyed, you can Special Summon Chiwen back from the Graveyard and get another monster from your Deck for every copy of Yang Zing Creation on the field. With all that Summoning, you might think it would be too easy to run out of monsters in your Deck, but with the Yang Zing Path Spell Card, you can shuffle them back into your Deck and draw two new cards in the process!

Huge Synchro Summons have never been easier, and the Yang Zing even have their own Level 8 Synchro Monster, Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing, that can shuffle cards from your opponent’s field back into the Graveyard depending on how many different Synchro Materials you use! Play it on your opponent’s turn using the special abilities of your Yang Zing monsters to send away all of your opponent’s cards before they can do anything with them.
